Suggested trekking routes in the Parnassos area
1st route : Eptalofos - Delphi

One part of the European Route E4 starts by the village Eptalofos (just 9 km from SKAMNOS Bed & Breakfast). Starting from there and walking upwards in 35' we are reaching the St. Triada small church at an alttitude of 1000 meters. In two hours from there, we are haveing in front of us the valley of Profitis Ilias (1300 m) which is at the borders of the National Park. We follow the footpath and in 30' we are again in the deep forest. In one hour and 30' we are coming out of the forest to the palce Kroki. The arrival at the top of the cliff above Delphi is so abrupt as to be startling. From a tunnel-like gully lined with white rocks, the vista explodes outward. If the timing has been right, the sun is just lowering over the Ionian Sea, silhouetting the mountains to the west. To the south, the Gulf of Corinth is a slice of silver below the purple mountains of the Peloponnese. To the left are the twin Phaedriades (Shining Rocks) so called because they reflect the light. There the ancients threw off people convicted of sacrilege. Straight down are the tiny red tile roofs of Delphi and the final zig-zags of the Archaio Monopati (1 hours).
2nd Route: Kalivia Livadi Arachova - Prontoli - Gerontovrachos - Liakoura.

From the eastern end of the plateau we follow the foot-path up to Prontoli (2 hours). We follow the stream up to well water place ( 1 hour and 30 ') and afterwards up to the Eastern end of [Gerontobrachos (1 hour and 30΄). Steep crossing up to Liakoyra (1 hour) and ascent in top (30')
3rd Route : Tithorea - Descent of Velitsa- Liakoura.

Having as our starting point the village Tithorea we take the direction towards Likoura throuhg the famous Velitsa gorge. Beginning from the church of Prophet Ilia, that is the end of village, we follow path, which we leave before the St. George small church. Crossing the stream we come out in the st Joh small church (1 ½ hour) and little more above this, it begins a good path thatcomes up to the shoulder of ridge and afterwards up to the spring Tsares (2 hours). After this spring we move to right, we pass the dorsum '' Three Tsoympes '' and found ourselves in a cloof in the basis of Tsarkos(1 hour). Going up end abrupt slopes we lead to the peak Liakoyra 2.457[m] (1 hour)
4th Route : Mounteneering Refuge - Gerontovrachos or Liakoura

With starting point the mountaineering refuge we can go up to the top Gerontobrachoy, (in 2 hours and 30 thinly) following the pylons of SKI CLUB. For Liakoyra (2 hours and 30 minutes from the refuge) the way is mixed and it passes from the skiw centre Kellaria following the smooth slopes that go to Gerontobrachos.
